LAUNCH LIVE BROADCAST

URDANETA-ARMSAT1 MISSION

On May 25th, 2022, at 2:35 p.m. ET / 20:35 CEST, the satellite has been successfully launched from the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station with the Transporter 5 mission onboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, a rideshare flight of small satellites to a LEO orbit.
00:59:42 minutes after launch the satellite was smoothly deployed from the Falcon 9 upper stage to start flying on its own into a SSO at 530km height.
Urdaneta-ARMSAT1 is a 16U CubeSat offering a resolution of 1.80 m in RGB+NIR with a swath of 13 km, 20 centimetres wide and 40 centimetres high, with deployable solar panels and a total mass of 16.4 kg. It is designed to have a nominal lifetime of at least four years in heliosynchronous orbit at 530 km altitude.
The heart of the satellite is the iSIM-90 instrument, a small camera capable of providing High-Resolution images for Earth Observation, that will be used for agricultural and environmental applications, among others.

The satellite became object of the agreement with the Armenian Company Geocosmos.
