SATLANTIS is pleased to announce the launch of NOX: Night vision Optical eXplorer, a new night-vision project funded by the European Space Agency – ESA.
At the heart of the NOX project is our ambition to push the boundaries of Earth Observation in very low-light conditions, developing next-generation imaging capabilities designed to deliver high-quality imagery even when conventional optical systems reach their limits.
NOX builds on SATLANTIS’ expertise in high-resolution optical instruments and our commitment to developing sovereign European technologies for the future of Earth Observation. It also marks a new chapter for SATLANTIS, and an exciting journey ahead with ESA.

This project represents another important step in our collaboration with ESA and in strengthening Europe’s independent capabilities in advanced space-based imaging.
This technology enables a wide range of Earth observation applications and opens up new possibilities across areas such as defense and security, urban area monitoring, detection of non-cooperative vessels, search and rescue, emergency response, infrastructure monitoring, and environmental change detection, for instance.
